On July 4, 1970, 150 runners gathered at the old Sears parking lot on the corner of Peachtree and Roswell Road. Of those runners, 110 finished. The group, now known as the "Original 110," ran 6.2 miles through Atlanta to Central City Park in what would go down in history as the inaugural Peachtree Road Race.
In 2013, Brent and Kyle Pease wheeled together for the first time in the AJC Peachtree Road Race in Atlanta, GA representing The Kyle Pease Foundation. As the Foundation continued its efforts to break barriers of inclusion in sports, it also grew the Push-Assist Division of the AJC Peachtree Road Race to include 9 Teams by 2018. In 2022, the Atlanta Track Club allowed the addition of hand cyclists, which allowed KPF to host 15 teams in the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
This year, with the support of KPF’s Presenting Sponsor Lululemon, The Kyle Pease Foundation will host 10 Competitive Division Race Teams alongside 7 additional teams in the Open Division. This is inclusion at its finest coming together to compete and participate in Atlanta's most popular races and celebrating inclusion one mile at a time.
Together, we're representing and celebrating inclusion through sports!
