Kevin Curtiss's Fundraiser

I'm raising funds to push a wheelchair the 2020 Publix Half-Marathon!
With your support, we can create an unforgettable experience for a differently-able athlete.
We are no longer accepting donations on this campaign, but there are other ways for you to support us today!
Updated Fundraising Request from Feb 2020:
Good evening Friends and Family,
WE DID IT!
If I’m being honest, I didn’t know what to expect when asking for help raising $700. Almost immediately, we surpassed that goal and I felt as though $3,000 would be an amazing stretch goal. I’m happy to report that not only did we achieve the second goal, but we just surpassed $5,000!!
I've tried my best to express my real-time appreciation for your generous donations, prayers, and encouragement as a supporter of Team Lizzie and all differently-able athletes. I’m overwhelmed by your love and support.
It’s almost RACE DAY and the forecast is expected to be 26 degrees around 6:45am. Keep us in your prayers for a remarkable, successful experience for Lizzie, Jeanie, and all participants with the Kyle Pease Foundation!
Sincerely,
Kevin
Updated Fundraising Request from Jan 2020:
Thanks to the incredibly generous donations from my immediate family and closest friends, I crushed my initial fundraising goal of $700, in just two weeks! Thankfully, I've been accepted to the Publix Half-Marathon as an athletic wheelchair pusher. I'm a proud member of Team Lizzie! While I haven't had the pleasure of meeting Lizzie in-person just yet, I've connected with her mom, Jeanie, via email. This is what she shared about sweet Lizzie:
"Lizzie is 18 years old and my late husband and I adopted her in 2014, but I’ve known her since she was one month old! She loves racing! I think she gets it from her dad! He was an avid cross country runner in high school! Lizzie is non verbal and deaf, but she will throw out her arm forward letting you know to go faster! I fully believe she would never stop if she could!"
THIS is why I've decided to increase my fundraising goal to $3,000. At first, it was about supporting a worthy organization. Now, it's real. I want to raise as much as I can for Lizzie and all differently-able athletes involved with KPF.
Please consider joining me as part of Team Lizzie by donating. No amount is too small and all support makes a difference. My sincerest gratitude to those who have already donated and encouraged me so far. I'm inspired and determined to make you all proud as we join together to create a remarkable experience for Lizzie and Jeanie!
Thank you for your time and support!
Kevin
Initial Fundraising Request Letter from Dec 2019:
Many of you know about the health journey I've been on this year, but it's time to transform the results into something bigger. Inspired by US Navy Seal, David Goggins, I'm running the Publix Half-Marathon not for my own benefit, but for the benefit of someone else who can't run his/her own race.
If I can raise at least $700, I can be part of the Kyle Pease Foundation Team and push a racer in a wheelchair. While I'm excited about the physical challenge, I'm more excited about the positive impact we can collectively have on supporting a racer in need.
I'm grateful for any amount you can spare this holiday season! Thanks for your time and consideration!
Sincerely,
Kevin
"We can always become stronger and more agile, mentally and physically. We can always become more capable and more reliable. Since that's the case, we should never feel that our work is done. There is always more to do." - David Goggins
