Team Breann is working to get to the Marine Corps Marathon with the Kyle Pease Foundation. The Kyle Pease Foundation aims to promote success for individuals with disabilities through sports. This fall, we will be participating in the Marine Corps Marathon. Breann and Michelle will head to Washington D.C. in October to complete the marathon and support inclusion.

A little bit about the team:

Breann is 10 1/2 she's the youngest of three kids in her family. She was diagnosed with Williams syndrome at 9 months old. It has caused numerous medical issues, developmental delays and small stature. Breann makes up for that with her big bubbly personality. She was also recently diagnosed with kidney disease.

Everyone is a friend to Breann, she can make anyone smile. Breann started her love for racing when she took part in the Brinman triathlon, from that point forward she wanted to continue to take part in races.

The reason Breann would love to take part in the Marine Corps Marathon, is because she comes from three generations of Marines. Her grandfather and her dad served our country. Now, her big brother,"Bubba" as she likes to call him is serving. It would be an honor if we could get her to DC so she's able to be a participant in this Marathon.

Breann will be running with her friend Michelle. Michelle is co founder of the Kyle Pease Foundation Utah chapter and works as a Speech Pathologist at Huntsman Cancer Hospital in Utah. This will be her first race assisting an athlete. She was immediately drawn to Breann and her happy personality. She is excited to help get Breann to the finish line and make some memories along the way.

Our team goal is to raise enough money to take Breann and her parents to Washington D.C. and experience one of the most amazing marathons our country has to offer. In addition, we hope to raise funds to allow other individuals with disabilities the opportunity to race.

Travel expenses and special equipment are needed to make this dream come true, thus we are aiming to raise $7,000 to cover travel, equipment and provide opportunities for others.
