Emma is looking forward to taking on the Marine Corps Marathon in October!
Emma and her twin were both born at 35 weeks. Born weighing 2 lbs, 2 ounces and addicted to heroin and crystal meth, Emma was later adopted by her current family when she was 3 months old. Emma has been racing since she was two and a half years old and always seems to light up on race day. While she is both non-verbal and visually impaired, Emma loves having the wind on her face and the cheers the crowds on race day, Emma has participated in road races ranging from 5ks to 50 mile races and a multitude of triathlons. Teammates always know that she is having fun when Emma either rocks in her chair or kicks her legs.
Emma is looking forward to traveling to Washington D.C. in October to compete in the Marine Corps Marathon. If interested in donating, please help Emma get to the finish line by donating to the cause. Your money will not only be put towards Emma's race in our Nation's Capital, but towards Emma and her friends participating in a multitude of races here in Utah with her teammates from Walking With KPeasey in Utah!
