This July 4th, I’ll be running the Peachtree Road Race alongside my good friends Meghan and Jill while proudly pushing our teammate, Brandi, in support of the Kyle Pease Foundation. The Foundation’s mission is to ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to participate in sports and live active, fulfilling lives. They achieve this by supporting race participation with equipment and push-assist volunteers (like me!), providing grants for accessibility needs in day-to-day life, and offering employment opportunities for their athletes. Every mile we run represents inclusion, determination, and the belief that everyone deserves a chance to cross the finish line.
