In 2004, I ran my first marathon — the Disney Marathon. It has always been my favorite race, and for years I’ve dreamed about going back. Now, that opportunity is here in a way that feels even more meaningful.
In January 2027, I will return to Disney to take on the Dopey Challenge — running the 5K, 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon on four consecutive days. But this time, I won’t just be running for myself. I’ll be serving as a push assistant for an athlete with the Kyle Pease Foundation, helping ensure that athletes of all abilities have the opportunity to experience endurance sports.
Running has always been my passion — a place where my heart, head, and legs move in perfect alignment. Earlier this year, I had the incredible experience of joining Team Josh at the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon with the Kyle Pease Foundation, and it completely changed how I see this sport. Every mile became about something bigger than time or pace. It became about inclusion.
I was first introduced to the foundation while training for 29029 Everesting, and I was deeply inspired by the story of Kyle and Brent Pease and the entire community of athletes, pushers, and volunteers who make this mission possible. They remind us that the finish line is most meaningful when we cross it together.
Now, I’m honored to play a small role in helping more athletes experience that finish line.
I invite you to join me in supporting this incredible mission. Every donation, no matter the amount, helps provide adaptive equipment, training opportunities, and life-changing race experiences for athletes who otherwise wouldn't have the opportunity.
Every contribution — big or small — makes a difference.
