On March 1, 2026, I’ll have the honor of racing alongside The Kyle Pease Foundation as a teammate in the Publix Atlanta Half Marathon. Together, we’ll help create an inclusive environment where everyone—regardless of ability—can experience the true joy of racing.

This past November, I ran the Marine Corps Marathon in Washington, D.C. Throughout the race, one thing stood out above all else: the incredible smiles of the in-chair athletes and their push-assist teammates from the Kyle Pease Foundation. Their energy was contagious, their teamwork inspiring. Almost immediately after finishing, I knew I needed to get involved. I wanted to understand why these athletes radiated so much happiness—and how I could be part of it.

The Kyle Pease Foundation was founded on the powerful bond between two brothers, Brent and Kyle Pease, and their shared love of racing. After completing their first triathlon together, they made it their mission to share that same sense of freedom, normalcy, and connection with others.

On race day, the impact is profound. Both athletes—the in-chair athlete and their teammate—cross the finish line together, united in pride, perseverance, and purpose. They start and finish together.

The Publix Atlanta Half Marathon holds special meaning for the foundation—it was one of the first races KPF athletes participated in back in 2013, not long after the foundation began. Since then, it has remained one of the cornerstone events each year. Together, lets make this one the best one yet!
