$4,200 towards $4,000

As we run the New York City Marathon together, join my mom and me in supporting athletes in wheelchairs and promoting inclusive opportunities with the Kyle Pease Foundation.

This year, I'm turning 30 and my mom is turning 60, so we're challenging ourselves to run our first marathon together β€” and supporting an incredible organization in the process.

We're raising funds for the Kyle Pease Foundation (KPF), an Atlanta-based organization that works to increase inclusion for people with disabilities through sport β€” including by bringing together people in wheelchairs with running partners to compete together in races across the country.
Our family is lucky enough to know the brothers Kyle and Brent Pease, who founded KPF. Kyle works at our local Publix, and my family has gotten to know him by talking on fall weekends about college football, and then about his push-assist races. Kyle uses a wheelchair, and he and his brother, Brent, have raced in many Ironmans and marathons across the country. Brent pushes while Kyle experiences the intensity of the race. Together they took what others thought was impossible and made dreams happen, and now they're doing the same for others.

My mom and I have run many races together, but never a marathon, and we're always so moved by the wheelchair races and the teams supporting them. KPF has been behind many of those athletes, ensuring athletes with disabilities can feel the thrill of victory when they cross the finish line and have their family and friends cheer them on from the sidelines. The KPF purchases medical equipment and adaptive sports equipment for individuals, and contributes to other organizations that provide similar assistance to disabled persons. Their goal is to promote inclusion in all facets of life and to make dreams happen for athletes with disabilities.

Any amount you're able to give will go towards sending my mom and me to run the New York City Marathon later this year β€” but more importantly, it will help athletes with disabilities live their dreams. Thank you for supporting this incredible cause!
