I met Dick Hoyt at the 2010 Boston Marathon and quickly learned of his and his son, Rick's story of teaming up to tackle countless races including marathons and triathlons, despite his son being diagnosed with cerebral palsy from birth. Their story and that interaction was a powerful lesson in the true beauty that exercise can bring to all humans, regardless of their abilities, and that racing can give joy to absolutely anyone. That message is something that I have always wanted to carry forward as well, and why I'm privileged to do so as part of The Kyle Pease Foundation.
